At The Art Lounge AK, we offer a diverse selection of hands-on classes designed to ignite creativity and foster a deep appreciation for the art of fiber crafts. From needle felting to wet felting to nuno felting, eco printing, dyeing, crochet, knitting, and macrame, our warm and inviting atmosphere provides the perfect setting for exploring these timeless art forms. Our inclusive environment celebrates every individual as an artist, welcoming enthusiasts of all levels to join us in discovering the joy of creating. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a curious beginner, our classes are designed to inspire and nurture your creative spirit, weaving a vibrant tapestry of shared experiences and artistic expression.

Needle Felting
No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. Feel free to bring any snacks and drinks you like. Space is limited so book early to save your spot, ages 12 and up.
Wet Felting
You will learn how to wrap ultra fine merino wool roving around a resist, add silk or sparkles to add design or textures, and roll them with soap and water to shrink them up a bit, then finish felting them on your feet for a perfect custom fit. This class does require some elbow grease and a bit of flexibility to rub your slippers on your feet, but you can always bring a friend or date and felt each others feet to make it easier and more fun. Feel free to bring any drinks and snacks you like. No experience is required and all materials are provided. Ages 12 and up.
Painting with Wool
A two-dimensional painting with wool!
Come learn how to paint with wool, any design you like, follow one of my patterns or create your own! You can bring in one of your own photos for inspiration if you want, this is a good opportunity to felt what you want and I can help you make your idea into reality. These make beautiful gifts for the holidays. Feel free to bring any drinks and snacks you like. All material are provided and no experience is necessary. Ages 12 and up.
